"CCC" or "Canadian Cowboy Challenge" or "The Canadian Cowboy Challenge" refer to The Canadian Cowboy Challenge Association.


Information Collected:

For all website visitors we may collect non-personally identifying data such as the browser type, geographic region, referring site, and the date and time. This is typical of any website, and helps us understand how visitors are using our site.
Canadian Cowboy Challenge members provide information when they register for an account on the website. This information includes name, mailing address, email address and site preferences. We do not share or use this information outside of the Canadian Cowboy Challenge . Your mailing address is required in order to send items such as prize earnings or notifications.

Mail and Email:
TheCanadian Cowboy Challenge will NEVER send you unsolicited mail. As a Canadian Cowboy Challenge member, you are automatically subscribed to our newsletter mailing list. You can opt to be removed from the mailing list, however in many cases this is the only way you will be notified of events, activities, and website changes and upgrades.  We do not ‘spam’.  We do not share your email address nor your mailing address with any other persons or businesses.  Event hosts have can view your mailing address only in order to send you a cheque of any money you earned at an event.

How We Protect Your Information:
Your username and password are both encrypted. All of our data, including any data you provide via the website, resides on a secure server in a secure facility that includes 24/7 security personnel and biometric scanners.

Payments and Financial Data:
The Canadian Cowboy Challenge does not store ANY of your personal financial information. All of our payment processing is performed by secure third party processors, and no payment transactions occur on our website.

Third Party Advertising:
Businesses that choose to advertise on our website, sponsors of events, and other organizations may provide logos, business information, and hyperlinks that will appear on designated areas of the website and may be incorporated in newsletters (for example, a newsletter thanking the sponsors of an event).  We do not send email that consists only of third party advertising.

Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information and Preferences:
Canadian Cowboy Challenge members may update their personal information and preferences at their discretion, by editing their profile online.

Disclaimer to Security:
As a general rule, transmission of data over the internet may not be secure. It is for this reason that the Canadian Cowboy Challenge will never request your personal financial information. The majority of information that travels to and from our website is related to Canadian Cowboy Challenge events. 

Cookies:
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. The Canadian Cowboy Challenge website does not use cookies to store any personal information or preferences. If visitors or members wish to disable cookies in their browser it will not affect their experience on the website.
